Improving High-Volume Recruitment in Colombia with Zoho Recruit
Client Profile
Industry: Workforce Solutions and Talent Services
Location: Colombia
Employees: 5,000+
Recruitment Professionals: 50+
Hiring Volume: 1,000+ of candidates processed monthly
The Challenge:
The client used Zoho Recruit as its primary recruitment platform to support high-volume hiring across Colombia. While the system was operational, limited guidance following the initial implementation made it challenging for the internal team to fully understand and manage the configuration over time.
As recruitment needs evolved, workflows became inconsistent and automation was not fully aligned with day-to-day hiring processes. This reduced efficiency and made it difficult to use the platform to its full potential.
The Solution:
Technology: Zoho Recruit
Services: Application Assessment | Fishtank Service One
Fishtank Consultancy worked with the client to stabilise and improve the existing Zoho Recruit environment. The engagement began with a structured Application Assessment to identify configuration gaps and improvement opportunities. After stabilisation, the client transitioned to Fishtank Service One, combining ongoing platform optimisation, recruiter training, and continuous support using Fishtank’s Agile best-practice methodology.
The Approach
The engagement was managed as a structured improvement initiative rather than a system reimplementation. Fishtank Consultancy provided clarity, technical ownership, and continuity throughout the engagement.
Application Assessment and Stabilisation
Fishtank Consultancy conducted a comprehensive Application Assessment of Zoho Recruit, reviewing recruitment workflows, automation logic, data structures, user roles, security settings, and existing custom functions. Based on the findings, targeted fixes and quick improvements were implemented to clean up configurations and stabilise core recruitment processes.
High-Volume Recruitment Enablement
Once stabilised, Zoho Recruit was configured to better support high-volume recruiting. Candidate pipelines, workflows, and automation were aligned with real operational needs, allowing large applicant volumes to be handled efficiently while maintaining data consistency and usability.
Continuous Optimisation and Recruiter Training with Fishtank Service One
Following stabilisation, the client moved to Fishtank Service One, delivered using Fishtank’s Agile best-practice methodology. Enhancements were delivered in short, iterative cycles with clear priorities and continuous feedback.
As part of Service One, Fishtank also delivered ongoing recruiter training, ensuring users understood system functionality, new enhancements, and best practices. This improved adoption, reduced dependency on ad-hoc support, and strengthened internal ownership of Zoho Recruit.
Ongoing activities included workflow optimisation, advanced custom functions, and API integrations with third-party applications, ensuring the platform continued to evolve alongside recruitment needs.
