Why we use KRAs Instead of OKRs at Fishtank Consultancy
We still use goals, but we don’t rely on goals alone. At Fishtank Consultancy, we use KRAs (Key Result Areas) to define consistent accountability across roles, even when priorities shift. OKRs are a strong framework for measurable outcomes, and we implement OKRs with clients where it fits. Internally, KRAs better support how we manage consulting delivery standards over time.
Why the Fishtank Team Takes Time to Reflect on the Year and Still Uses an Annual Appraisal
At Fishtank Consultancy, we work as a small, agile, and remote team. Feedback is continuous and alignment happens daily.
Even so, we take time each year for an annual appraisal. Not to add complexity, but to step back, reflect on the full year, recognise contributions fairly, and align on priorities and direction for what comes next.
